Sea Fit  to Heal  Paddling Club

Sea Fit to build confidence and community among those touched by cancer. Take the next step in your healing process in a supportive environment, by getting on the water with Pacifica Paddle.

This group is for those at whatever point they are at in their cancer journey. Sea Fit to Heal.

A typical adventure looks like this:

  • 5-10 minute gear and boat prep

  • 5-10 minute stretching/ warm up on the dock

  • 1.5 hours paddling.

  •

This will be similar to Pacifica's Social Paddles; while having guides on the water for safety, instruction and leadership, the format is relaxed, to promote socializing and appreciation of time in nature. As this is part of a healing process, we are excited to get some exercise, but it will be at a level that fits the group. We'll enjoy a  paddle around Brentwood Bay, Tod Inlet, or the Saanich inlet.  This is a beginner friendly area, and it's great if you want a low key, safe area to put your skills to practice, or learn new paddling skills.

This group will have consistent guides each week, who understand the group needs. â€‹

The weekly paddles are for members. However, our partners are important to include, and are therefore welcomed to the following extra events.

These events are an extra cost according to the time they take, but will be scheduled as private events for this group.

  • Private Glow Tour in May or June

  • Swartz Bay Tours of the Gulf Islands

  • Paddle Canada certified SUP basic and advanced Skills

  • Paddle Canada certified Sea Kayak Basic  or Level 1 Skills

This paddling club gathers weekly, potentially on Tuesday afternoons, March through October, with the potential to go year round

COST: TBD  (includes certified guides/ Instructors, SUP or Kayak, paddle and safety equipment)
