Extra Information
New to Kayaking?
-
This tour is beginner friendly. We include a safety briefing and short lesson with every tour. We’ll show you how to use the kayak safety equipment, how to paddle and steer the kayak and how to set-up your kayak comfortably.

Double Kayaks
-
To keep everyone safe, and within guide-to-guest ratios, we only take double kayaks on this night tour. We have a 1:6 guide to participant ratio, and typically take groups of 12 with 2 guides.

What to Wear
-
This is a night tour so dress according to the conditions the night of your tour. Light, non-cotton layers are ideal. You do not need waterproof clothing (unless it is raining). You can wear any footwear you like as your feet will not get wet on our launch ramp.

What Will You See?
-
You will be seeing bioluminescent algae known as "Dinoflagellates" which live in the water. When moved and disturbed, these marine algae sparkle and produce a beautiful glow. On tour, your guides will have plenty more information, facts, and stories to share with you.

Where We Go
-
This tour starts from our dock down on Portside Marina and travels through Brentwood Bay down towards a local Cove, and continues down the side of Tod Inlet.

What to Expect
-
This is a unique and adventurous tour. We will be exploring the water, splashing, ducking under trees to get the best glow experience, and having lots of fun!

Can We rent kayaks at night to explore on our own?
-
No, for safety's sake we do not allow any rentals to extend past our regular daylight hours. Any paddling at night must be with a tour. All tour participants must sign up for the tour, and we provide the double kayaks. We do not allow those with their own kayaks to tag along, as this is very disrespectful to our guiding team.
