News:August 10 Kayak for a Cure Kayak for a Cure™ Canada is a non-profit, volunteer based organization based in Vancouver, B.C, Canada dedicated to creating a future without cancer and making a positive impact on the lives of those living with cancer. Through the annual Kayak for a Cure™ paddle, special events, corporate sponsorship and donations, the organization works to raise money for cancer research and prevention. Senga Simpson is new employee at Pacifica Paddlesports and has recently taken to ocean kayaking as her new outdoor activity. She quickly fell in love with kayaking and would like to use her new found paddling skills to help a very worthy cause. Senga has registered to participate in the upcoming "Kayak for a Cure" sponsored by the Canadian Cancer Society and is looking for pledges as she takes on the 8 hour paddling challenge. Come join us for our "Early Morning Power Sessions" Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, we set out from our Johnson Street dock at 7:00 a.m and will be finished by 8:30. Cost is $30. We supply the boat and gear and give indivdual instruction. Please call for more information and to register in advance.
