Coastal Explorer Tours

Brentwood Bay and Tod Inlet - 3 Hours

The Brentwood Bay and Tod Inlet tour is the perfect tour for all levels of paddlers who want to experience the the coastal wildlife and the amazing landscapes of picturesque Victoria.

Local wildlife includes regular sightings of seals, bald eagles, Black oyster catchers, Blue heron and an amazing amount of inter-tidal life.

Our launch site offers ample free parking, washroom facilities, and a great café.

Paddle the waterways once traveled by the early pioneers of Victoria and view the remains of one of the Island's early brick factories. The sheltered waters of Brentwood Bay offer an abundance of sea life and great water conditions for paddling.

The Brentwood Bay Coastal Explorer is the perfect tour for all levels of paddlers who want to extend their adventure beyond the 3 hour tour.

Paddle the local waters and bring a lunch along(or ask us to provide one) to enjoy on one of our beautiful beaches.

Specialty Nature Tours

Paddling the Intertidal Zone - 5 Hours

A kayak is great way to unobtrusively enter the habitat of marine birds. Birding by kayak lets you observe local species in their natural ocean environment. It also provides you an opportunity to experience for yourself the rugged surroundings where these specialized birds thrive. During the paddle there may be opportunities to observe other forms of marine life.

A kayak guide and an experienced local birder will help you get the most out of this leisure paddle.The intertidal zone is the part of the shoreline that is exposed and covered every day as the tide ebbs and floods. This shoreline is rich in unique life forms ranging from beautiful to bizarre. Kayaks are the perfect vessels to paddle in water inches deep for a close up encounter with this amazing realm.

Tours of the intertidal zone are scheduled to coincide with an ebbing (low) tide in locations with a wide variety of marine life. Tours may include wading in shallow water and walking on exposed sea bed.
